ATR Systems Joins Trust Point Payroll
Exton, Pa. (December 2021) – Trust Point HCM has reached an agreement with Doylestown-based ATR Systems, Inc. to acquire the 48-year-old company’s Time and Labor Management clients and welcome ATR’s CEO, Michael Hoover, as Trust Point’s new Director of Time and Labor Management. The combined company will be the preeminent provider of UKG Ready’s full-suite of Human Capital Management (HCM) services in the Greater Philadelphia region.

Introducing Employee Contact Tracing for Workforce Ready
What is contact tracing?
According to the World Health Organization, when someone is infected with an infectious disease, such as a virus, those around them are at higher risk of becoming infected themselves, and of potentially transmitting the illness to others. To minimize this risk, those who have had contact with an afflicted person need to be notified as quickly as possible so that they can receive appropriate care and isolate themselves to reduce further spread. The process for monitoring people in close contact with someone who is infected is known as “contact tracing.” Contact Tracing, as outlined by the World Health Organization (WHO), is comprised of three steps: 1) contact identification, 2) contact listing, and 3) contact follow-up.
In the context of the workplace, this process can be cumbersome without visibility into who was working when and with whom. Having access to information that can quickly identify employees who may have come into contact with an afflicted individual is business-critical.
There are two reports you can create within Workforce Ready to identify the afflicted employee and colleagues that may have come into contact with this employee.

Hands-Free Time Clocks Available to Businesses During Coronavirus
Starting this month, Doylestown-based ATR Systems is offering a hands-free time clock and time-tracking system to employers concerned about the Coronavirus.
FaceVerify is a touchless facial recognition time clock that uses dual HD camera technology to capture a 3D facial image for fast and accurate biometric identification. The clock can easily replace more traditional clocks like hand readers and finger print readers.
“Like other industries, time and labor management will be affected by the Coronavirus,” said Michael Hoover, President of ATR Systems, a regional leader in time and attendance and payroll integration. “This product can be a good alternative to hand based readers and for those that are interested in a touchless system.”
Upgraded with new hardware and features, FaceVerify, or the FR-2020 v2, offers the best value for biometric time keeping systems. Employees can punch with a durable proximity badge card or keychain fob and can be assigned a password to punch with pin+password using the touch screen interface.

Time Offs
We updated the names of Time Offs shown in the examples. As always, you are free to name your Time Offs anything you want, but our examples show that the names should be easily identifiable. In the Classic UI, the Parent/Child time offs are easy to identify because they are in a tree format. In the New UI, the time offs are listed in alphabetical order and the Parent/Child relationship is not as obvious.
Accruals
In the Generating Accrual Time for Employees section we updated the date from 4/1/20 to 1/1/20. This will ensure employees get their full hours for the rest of the year.
NEW TLM GUIDES!
Additionally, we have added two new guides for companies who do not have the Leave module and have TLM only or TLM + Accruals enabled. One guide is for full-time employees and the other is for part-time employees.

Dear Workforce Ready User:
Just a note to let you know that we have transitioned our staff to work from home for the foreseeable future. There will be no on-site visits during this time. We are committed to provide uninterrupted support to our customers. You can call the same number for support or open a support ticket here.
In case you missed it, we sent a follow up email yesterday on best practices for effectively cleaning your time clocks. The info below provide detailed, model-specific information for cleaning Kronos time clocks and biometric scanners. The following general information applies to all Kronos time clock and biometric scanner models:
The time clock surfaces, touch screen, display, and keypad areas should be cleaned periodically with a glass cleaner applied to a soft, lint-free cloth.
Biometric scanners should be cleaned periodically with diluted dishwashing liquid applied to a soft, lint-free cloth.
The badge swipe channel on time clocks with integrated barcode badge readers should be cleaned periodically by folding a paper towel sprayed lightly with a glass cleaner over a badge and swiping the badge several times.
Hand sanitizer gel and/or alcohol-based cleaning wipes may be applied to employee hands prior to and/or after using the time clock or biometric scanner, provided hands are dry prior to touching the time clock or scanner. CDC guidelines on hygiene for all employees in the workplace are available here.
IMPORTANT: Please adhere to the following guidelines to avoid damaging your time clocks and biometric scanners.
Do not apply sanitizing gels or wipes directly to the time clock or scanners, as they may cause damage and potentially render the time clock and scanner unusable.
Do not use alcohol-based cleaning products or solvents such as benzene or acetone to clean Kronos time clocks or biometric scanners as they may cause damage and potentially render the time clock and scanner unusable.
Cleaning solutions/liquids should never be sprayed/applied directly on time clock surfaces, touch screens, or biometric scanners. They should be applied first to a soft, lint-free cloth.
Do not use steel wool or any other abrasives, use a soft, lint-free cloth.
InTouch (Kronos):

Synergy (Synel):
- Cleaning instructions can be downloaded here.
- How to disable bio reader: This can be done in WFR clock settings. Change the ‘Validate’ option to “Badge” and enable keyboard entry. This will disable the reader.
Prodigy/Maximus (ATS):
Cleaning instructions: To disinfect the biometric sensor and/or touchscreen on an ATS terminal, ATS recommends using a soft, micro-fiber cloth dampened with 70% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) or similar non-abrasive, non-toxic, non-bleach disinfectant safe for LCD screens. Do not over-saturate the touchscreen or biometric sensor. Do NOT directly spray any liquids onto the terminals. How to disable bio reader: This can be done in the clock settings. Change the ‘Validate’ option to “No Validation” and enable keyboard entry. This will disable the reader.
S300/T4 (ZK):
- Cleaning instructions can be viewed here.
- How to disable bio reader: There is not currently a programmatic way to handle disabling the biometric reader.
HandPunch (RSI):

- From a disease transmission perspective, micro organisms are prevented from spreading by the implementation of a special silver-based material, using BioCote® silver antimicrobial
technology. More on that here and here. - How to disable bio reader: There is not currently a programmatic way to handle disabling the biometric reader.
Time Clock Alternatives:
Here are five super effective ways that employees can remain effective and engaged even if they are working remotely.
Web Punch: native to existing Workforce Ready, this allows employees to punch in and out via the web. Optional access profiles allows you to restrict employees’ punch activity from specific locations (IP restrictions). Flexible enough to be configured for on-site or remote work. Mobile App: Workforce Ready’s mobile application allows employees and managers to access their timesheet information. This mobile app can also restrict employee punches based on their location (geofencing). Download the info sheet here.
Timesheet Auto-populate: this option allows the Workforce Ready software to auto-populate your employees’ time sheets based upon their work schedules. This is a great temporary solution. Please open a ticket if you need assistance setting this up.
FaceVerify: our facial recognition time clock that allows employees to punch in and out without having to touch a time clock. Download the info sheet.
Proximity Time Clocks: another option to mitigate the spread of germs. We have a basic proximity time clock as well as our InTouch proximity time clock. Both support badges or key fobs.

ATR Systems Response to COVID-19
As ATR Systems monitors developments regarding the spread of the Coronavirus, our first thought is for the safety of our team, our families and our community. Last week, we made preparations to allow all of our team members to work from home, so that we can continue to deliver uninterrupted services. We are fortunate in that much of our work is digital, and we already have the technical systems in place to facilitate this.
For the foreseeable future, we will be pivoting away from having in-person meetings and instead we will be relying on remote desktop support and video conferencing applications when meeting with clients. Our phone system will continue to function as normal, and you can reach our team with our normal phone number and extensions during business hours.
We are here to help. We believe that reaching out to your own clients and prospects through digital tools is more critical now than ever. We are committed to helping you and your workforce meet your needs and goals. If you have any questions or concerns, PLEASE ASK!
